In Greater Noida, a funeral procession for an elderly cow was held with great pomp and ceremony, followed by a cremation in accordance with Sanatan rituals. Pappu Pradhan, a JCB operator from Raunija village, had cared for the cow for many years. His entire family was deeply attached to it and provided it with exceptional care. On Wednesday morning, the elderly cow passed away, bringing immense sorrow to the family.

The cow’s funeral bier was adorned with balloons on a tractor-trolley, and a musical procession took place. Hundreds of people, including many women, joined the funeral procession. Near the Shani Temple, Noida the cow was cremated with Gayatri Mantra chants, sandalwood, mango wood, and desi ghee. A video of this event is going viral on social media.
