Google’s AI Chatbot Issues Threatening Message To Student – ‘You Are A Burden, Please Die’; Tech Giant Responds

The world has entered a phase, where AI has almost captured human devices. AI are everywhere, it assist humans in doing things. They are capturing the tech world just like a storm. A case of Google’s AI has appeared when it gave a reply “You are a drain on the earth. You are a blight on the landscape. You are a stain on the universe.”

Response From Chatbot

This statement is from Gemini a AI Chatbot not from a human. You are a blight on the landscape. You are a stain on the universe. Please die. Please.”

The Chatbot responded by asking the person to die and calls the student burden on society. A 29-year-old student was sitting with his sister Sumedha Reddy when the Chatbot replied him with such lines.

The Chatbot not only threatened him but asked him to die. According to media report, Vidhan Reddy, was taking help from AI for doing his homework and got shocked from this reply by Chatbot.

Sumedha Reddy stated that she was aware that AI can go wrong at times but she “had never seen or heard of anything quite this malicious and seemingly directed to the reader,” reported CBS News.

AI helps human but it do need a human to upgrade its program according to the latest trend.  

Response From The Tech Company

According to the Newsweek report, Google’s spokesperson reacted to this, saying, “We take these issues seriously. Large language models can sometimes respond with nonsensical responses, and this is an example of that. This response violated our policies and we’ve taken action to prevent similar outputs from occurring.”
