Following the verbal altercation, Rajawat hurriedly retreated to his first-floor residence and, using a 12-bore rifle, fired shots at Achala. The tragic incident was captured on video, showcasing Rajawat first firing a warning shot into the air before aiming his firearm at the street below, which was punctuated by cries and screams from those present.

The fatal consequences of the altercation saw the loss of Vimal Achala, who managed a hair salon in the Nipania area of the city, and another neighbor named Rahul Verma, aged 27. Both victims were promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where their deaths were officially declared.

Among the bystanders present during the tragic incident, six individuals suffered gunshot wounds and were subsequently admitted to the hospital, with two of them in critical condition.

As a consequence of the incident, Rajawat, along with his son Sudhir and another relative named Shubham, were apprehended by the authorities. Murder charges have been filed against Rajawat, a native of Gwalior, highlighting the dire repercussions of the altercation.
