Former Pakistani Cricketer Saqlain Mushtaq: ‘My Great-Grandfather Was A Hindu’

Saqlain said the Pakistani youngsters want to see Kohli and Bumrah playing in Pakistan as they admire them while they continue their tantrums.

A video of former Pakistani cricketer Saqlain Mushtaq claiming that his great-grandfather was Hindu went viral on social media. In the viral video of a TV debate, Saqlain can be heard saying that his great-grandfather was a native of Amritsar, and thereafter his grandfather and father moved to Pakistan. He said Indian stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma also belongs to the same village as his ancestors.

Saqlain Mushtaq is often known for his controversial statements in the media. 

Saqlain expressed displeasure over the Indian cricket team not visiting Pakistan for the Champions trophy.

He said that the Indian team always has tantrums, which is wrong. He also added that the Indian side should be taught a lesson. 

Saqlain said the Pakistani youngsters want to see Kohli and Bumrah playing in Pakistan as they admire them while they continue their tantrums.

Another Pakistani player Inzamam-ul-Haq asserted that his ancestors belong to Hisar. He wanted to visit the place but did not manage to go there because of his schedule or security reasons. 

In the ongoing champions trophy, the Indian team has played all its matches in Dubai.
