New Delhi: In a recent LinkedIn post, Andreas Roettl, CEO of tech company Journi, sparked a major discussion by stating that companies should train their managers and team leaders in how to properly fire employees. Roettl’s bold statement received mixed reactions, as he argued that knowing how to let staff go is just as important as the hiring process.
Roettl began by saying, “No one ever says, ‘I’m really good at firing people.’ But we should!” He said everyone shies away from talking about the subject but knowing how to fire an employee helps keep a stable, good team environment. “Firing helps preserve team spirit and culture,” he encouraged a far more proactive way in which people have to deal with handling employees.
