“A guest discovered a dead cockroach in the sambar and notified the hotel management. He made a video and filed a formal complaint through our portal. During our inspection, we found the hotel’s ‘Indian Kitchen’ section was unhygienic, so we immediately sealed the kitchen,” said Joshi.

The AMC’s closure notice on the kitchen door stated that the cooking area would be shut for 48 hours for public health reasons. The notice also warned that reopening the kitchen without permission from the competent authority would result in legal action.
