Kerala: A video from the village Cheruchenam in the Thrissur district of Kerala is going viral on social media. The video shows an elderly woman hosting the Indian Flag with her grandchildren in the courtyard of their hut.

In the video, Ammini, a 69-year-old woman is seen celebrating the 74th Republic Day with high Patriotism. She tied the Flag with a bamboo stick and hoisted the National Flag with full honour. She was assisted by her seven grandchildren who study at Cherpu school. CNN Boys High School headmaster A R Praveen Kumar encouraged students to hoist the flag in honour of the day, and their teacher asked them to capture the moment on camera.

After the video went viral, the Indian Navy felicitated the 7 children along with their grandmother and parents. The teachers from CNN Boys High school were also felicitated. They were treated with a motivational tour to Naval Base, Kochi as part of Amrit Mahotsav.

They visited INS Magar and INS Dronacharya. The Indian Navy tweeted that after seeing the video it decided to organise a trip  to acknowledge the enthusiasm of children celebrating the 73rd Republic Day at their home along with their grandmother.

Major Ravi, who has served with the elite National Security Guard (NSG), spoke to Ammini and offered to renovate her house.
