New Delhi: A 9-year-old girl named Hana Rafeeq became the youngest iOS developer by creating an app and getting appreciation from Apple CEO Tim Cook. Now her sister, Leena Rafeeq, has developed an AI-based app that detects eye diseases at age 11.

Leena, a self-taught coder, created the AI-based app Ogler Eyescan. She created this app at the age of ten. Through a unique scanning process, the mobile app is capable of detecting various eye diseases and conditions.

Ogler employs trained models to identify potential eye diseases or conditions such as Arcus, Melanoma, Pterygium, and cataracts.

She announced this news through her LinkedIn account and captioned it, “Exciting news! I am thrilled to announce the submission of my new Artificially Intelligent mobile app, named Ogler EyeScan. I created this Ai App at the age of 10. Ogler is capable of detecting various eye diseases and conditions through a unique scanning process with your iPhone. Using advanced computer vision, and machine learning algorithms, Ogler can analyze various parameters such as light and colour intensity, distance, and look-up points to locate the eyes within the frame range. It also identifies any light burst issues and if the eyes are positioned exactly inside the scanner frame.”
