Mumbai: Have you ever given your ex a drunken call? Perhaps many of us have been there, but on Friday this Mumbai woman ordered 2,500 worth. The problem? She placed the order while intoxicated at a restaurant in Bengaluru!
“Did I drunk order 2500 rs worth of biryani all the way from Bangalore…” the woman – whose handle is @subiii – tweeted with a screenshot of the order page. As per the ss, the order has been placed from the famous restaurant Meghana Foods.
After the girl tweeted about her experience ordering food while intoxicated, the comments section of her post evolved into a celebration of the city’s famed restaurant. The world’s largest food delivery service, Zomato, joined the discussion and added that it would be a “happy hangover.”
“Subii, you’ll have a happy hangover once the order is at your doorstep. Do let us know about the experience,” Zomato wrote.

Later, when @subii received her order, she even posted images of the biryani, salad, raita, and chips that were included in it. She jokingly wrote, “best decision ever @zomato, where is my paycheck?”

Zomato offers the “intercity legends” service, which enables consumers to request certain specialities from a small number of restaurants in significant Indian cities, for those who are perplexed by how an order was placed across states. Plan appropriately because it will take a few days to deliver these orders.

In less amusing Zomato news, a businessman by the name of Vinay Sati claimed to have discovered a ‘shocking scam’ after he claimed Zomato agents had instructed him on how to defraud the company.
Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal said, “Aware of this. Working to plug the loopholes.”
