Pet Dog Causes Mini Explosion In House While Chewing Phone Battery – Watch Viral Video

A viral video showing a dog causing a small explosion inside a house by chewing on a lithium-ion battery has taken social media by storm. The Tulsa Fire Department released the video to highlight the hazards associated with lithium-ion batteries.

The video, shared by Instagram page We Rate Dogs, begins with the dog lounging on its bed in the living room with two other pets. The mischief starts when the dog discovers a lithium-ion battery pack, used for charging devices, and begins chewing on it. Sparks soon fly, and the battery ignites, setting the dog’s bed on fire.

Describing the scene, We Rate Dogs noted the pets’ unsuccessful attempts to extinguish the fire, which included staring at and barking at the flames. Thankfully, all three animals managed to escape through a doggy door.
