In Shadi Madanpur village, located in the Chilla police station area of Banda district, Uttar Pradesh, a husband showed quick thinking and courage to save his wife after a snake bit her. As a precaution, both were taken to the district hospital, where they received first aid and were later sent home.
The incident happened on Wednesday night when 30-year-old Shamshad’s 26-year-old wife, Nisad Khatoon, was opening the door to go upstairs. At that moment, a poisonous snake bit her on the right foot.
Hearing his wife’s screams, Shamshad rushed to the spot and handled the situation without panicking. First, he tied a cloth tightly above the snake bite to stop the venom from spreading. Then, he pressed the wound with his hand to remove some blood and, in a filmy style, tried to suck out the venom with his mouth.

According to a family member Khalik, the snake had entered the house by climbing the wall through a drain. After trying to remove the venom, Nisad Khatoon felt dizzy and vomited, but Shamshad remained completely fine.
As a precaution, both were taken to the district hospital where the doctors kept them under observation. After some time, they were found to be completely fine, and the doctors discharged them.
