Viral: A Chinese technological institute has developed a ‘kissing gadget’ which can help you experience a real kiss if you are at a distance from your partner. Reports have revealed that the Changzhou Vocational Institute of Mechatronic Technology has trademarked the innovation.

According to reports, the unusual silicone-lip “kissing gadget” includes pressure sensors and actuators. It claims to be able to simulate a real kiss by simulating the weight, movement, and warmth of the user’s lips. In addition to the kissing action, the device can convey the user’s sound.

To use the device, users only need to download mobile software and connect it to their phone’s charging port. After pairing the device with their companion on the app, they can initiate a video conversation and send copies of their kisses to one another.

Jiang Zhongli, the pattern’s primary designer, told China’s official Global Times that the inspiration for the device came from his long-distance relationship with his girlfriend. He applied for a patent in 2019, according to the media, but it expired in January 2023. He now believes that anyone interested in this device can improve and expand on the idea.
