Shanghai Chest Hospital, where the surgery took place, issued a statement emphasizing the significance of this milestone. According to the Shanghai municipality’s information office, the success of the surgery showcases the clinical capabilities of domestically-made surgical robots, promising improved access to care for patients in remote and rural areas. Dr. Luo Qingquan, the leading surgeon, performed the operation with the support of a team and advanced robotic technology.
