New Delhi: An 11-year-old Chinese boy cycled for 22 hours to meet his grandmother to complain about his mother over a fight. He travelled 130 kilometres in 22 hours.
The boy left Hangzhou in eastern to Meijiang, a county in Zhejiang which was 140 kilometres away. Local media spotted him alone in an expressway tunnel on April 2.
According to the child, he navigated his way by following traffic markers. He claimed that he made multiple false turns, doubling his journey time. His grandmother’s house was only approximately an hour distant. The teen told the cops that he cycled all night. He ate bread and drank water from the bottle he brought from home. The cops notified the boy’s parents, who arrived to fetch him up. The child’s mother claimed that he threatened to travel to his grandmother’s house, but she dismissed the threat as “just a tantrum.”
