A British citizen has made history by driving his car on an 18,300-kilometer journey across 16 countries from London to India. Completing this journey took a total of 59 days.
Virajit Mungale, who resides in London, is indeed a British citizen. However, his roots are deeply connected to India. Virajit’s mother hails from Thane, Maharashtra, and he has driven miles to meet her. Starting his journey on April 20 from London, Virajit reached Thane, Maharashtra, on June 17 after 59 days of travel.
Usually, Virajit frequently travels to Thane to meet his mother. However, this time, instead of opting for a flight, he decided to come by car and crossed 16 countries to reach India after leaving Britain. Following his departure from Britain, his route included countries such as France, Germany, Belgium, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Tibet, and Nepal. Finally, after a journey spanning 59 days and covering many kilometers, Virajit arrived in India.
Speaking about his remarkable journey, Virajit mentioned that he had read about the Silk Route, which inspired him to plan his trip along the same route. During this journey, he also learned about a family who had traveled to several countries in their car. Virajit emailed the family but did not receive any response from them. According to Virajit, this journey was quite special for him. He encountered intense heat in several countries. Additionally, he experienced snowfall on roads at heights of 5,200 meters.
