Brazil: The tragic death of a courageous bodybuilder in Brazil has left people mourning the loss of a true hero. Hugo Sergio, a 30-year-old bodybuilder, displayed incredible bravery as he rescued his wife and daughter from their burning home.
On the morning of July 29, a fire broke out in Sergio’s apartment for unknown reasons, filling the room with smoke. Despite the dangerous situation, Hugo’s instincts as a protector kicked in. He woke his wife and urged her to immediately evacuate the burning flat with their daughter.

Realizing that their pet dog was also trapped inside, Hugo sprang into action to save the loyal companion. Braving the flames, he managed to rescue the dog from the fiery inferno. Tragically, while trying to escape the burning apartment, Hugo became trapped and lost his life in the blaze.
Neighbors responded swiftly to the unfolding tragedy, attempting to help the family. Hugo’s wife sought assistance downstairs, and neighbors courageously entered the burning apartment. They heard the cries of their injured child and called out to Hugo, but he could not respond, possibly due to the flames blocking his escape route.

The dog was saved, and his wife and daughter were rushed to the hospital for medical attention. While Larissa, the mother, has been discharged, their daughter Maya suffered severe burns covering 70% of her body and remains in critical condition, receiving ongoing treatment at the hospital.
The police are currently investigating the cause of the fire, with a suspected short circuit in the TV set being a prime suspect.
Hugo Sergio was laid to rest at the Inhauma Cemetery, where family and friends gathered to pay tribute to his heroic actions. He worked at a gym in the city, and his grieving wife, unable to attend the funeral, mourns the loss of her brave husband who sacrificed his life to save their family and beloved pet.
