A shocking incident took place with a man in Bengaluru. The young man posted on Reddit that booking a Rapido bike taxi outside the metro station cost him so much that several auto drivers surrounded him and threatened to beat him up. The user mentioned, “So, this crazy thing happened to me today at a metro station. I got off, stepped outside, and started booking a Rapido. Immediately, an auto guy in a rowdy tone was like, “Oi, book madbeda! Nane karkond hogtini, baa!“ (Don’t book, I’ll take you). I ignored him and continued with my Rapido booking.”
The user also mentioned, “As soon as the Rapido guy arrived, I hopped on his bike, and suddenly, the auto guys started howling and shouting things like “Adeng hogbidtiya! Naanu nodtini!” (You’ll go with him? I’ll see you!). At this point, I couldn’t just shut up, so I flipped them off. Big mistake.”

The user wrote, “I immediately called 112, and I think that saved me. But guess what? When the police called back, instead of just controlling the situation, they scolded me for showing my middle finger (which is fair, but also… the heckling?). To make things worse, the cop seemed to know these auto guys well and casually told them to leave me alone—but not before saying, “Yerad bitt kalsi.” (Hit him and send him away.)”
