With the rise of Ola, Uber, Rapido, and other cab providers in India, there is increasing demand for cab drivers. In a post, he recounted, ‘I was returning from an event today and booked a cab. While conversing with the driver, I inquired about his earnings. He mentioned earning approximately Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000 per day. I was astonished! Calculating it, if he earns Rs 3,000 daily and works 25 days a month, that totals Rs 75,000 per month. He also noted that even after deducting petrol expenses, he manages well.’

In response to the video, a user commented, ‘Earning 75k for such a demanding job seems inadequate. Many drivers endure significant mental strain due to the exhausting nature of the work. It’s hard to imagine transitioning to cab driving in Bangalore after years in a corporate office, no matter how much one loves driving.’

Another commenter remarked, ‘It requires a lot of effort. Moreover, these cab drivers often overlook vehicle depreciation in their calculations.’
