Kyna Khare, a 12-year-old from Bengaluru, has accomplished an extraordinary feat by achieving the title of the world’s youngest female master scuba diver. Her journey, driven by remarkable dedication, skill, and passion for the watersport, involved completing numerous diving courses and dives worldwide, ultimately mastering this demanding discipline.

She has achieved advanced open water certification, mastered underwater photography, specialized in Nitrox diving, demonstrated perfect buoyancy control, completed rescue diver training, and undertaken various specialty courses, earning her the title of Master Diver. This prestigious recognition is awarded to young divers who exhibit exceptional knowledge, proficiency, and dedication.

At the age of 10, Kyna began scuba diving with her first-ever dive in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Enthralled by her initial experience, she embarked on a course of diving training that led her to achieve mastery as a diver.

Kyna’s mother, Anshuma, describes her as a “water baby,” considering water to be her “second home.”

Kyna credits her parents, who also love scuba diving, for their immense support in her journey.

Her most frightening experience while scuba diving, she noted, occurred during a rescue diving course in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

However, young Kyna does not fear such challenges, noting that even a simple walk on the road could be dangerous. “One has to be careful,” she added.

Kyna also finds fascination in the fish, creatures, and ecosystems she encounters underwater. “My personal favorites are sea turtles; they are amazing and large,” she added.

Speaking about her diving experiences, Kyna mentioned, “I have dived in India, specifically in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It’s fun. In other countries, I have dived in Bali, the Maldives, and Thailand. Every single place has its own uniqueness.”

Anshuma mentioned that initially, Kyna’s parents were hesitant to let their daughter venture into the world of scuba diving due to their own fears but decided to give it a shot after seeing her passion.

“We didn’t know if it was possible. With the help of specialized instructors, she managed her first dive. She wanted to pursue more and get certified. We hesitated due to our fears but decided to try because of her passion. It confirmed our belief that she should follow her passion,” she said.

Anshuma also conveyed a message to other parents, urging them to encourage their children to make the right career choices and to pursue their passions. “In today’s world, nothing is impossible. Just follow your dreams,” she concluded.

A Shift Towards BJP's Aggressive Hindutva Amid Opposition's Leadership Crisis

The Maharashtra election may further push the Congress down as it has lost the election at a time when it needed a win most desperately. Though the Congress succeeded in pushing the BJP to a corner and stopping it at less than a majority on its own, it failed to make any headway further.
