Transformation in Bathinda school
When Rajinder Singh joined that government school in 2015, he was the only teacher with 33 students who used to come to the government building for enlightenment. The building barely had hopes for the future of the nation and the society. Now, in 2024, the school has 9 postings for teachers and around 250 students. The elated teacher calls it a collective effort.

The education system particularly in government schools has been questionable for decades since the independence. Private schools have been grabbing all the strength and minting money only in the name of quality education. An attempt to change this picture was made in Delhi a few years ago, however, there are teachers in other parts of India too who are putting all their efforts into making it good for the children. A few examples are the government school of Narayanpur, Bahraich and this school in Bathinda.
