Anunay Sood’s official cause of death
After weeks of uncertainty, authorities confirmed the cause. According to TMZ, the Clark County Medical Examiner ruled that Anunay Sood died from combined fentanyl and ethanol (alcohol) toxicity. His death has been officially classified as accidental, with the report stating that the mixture of fentanyl and alcohol led to the influencer’s fatal overdose.

Anunay Sood was a well-known travel influencer, photographer, storyteller, and entrepreneur with over 1.4 million followers on Instagram. He lived in Dubai and co-founded Meta Social, working on major collaborations with luxury brands and tourism boards. He was also featured in the Top 100 Digital Stars list from 2022 to 2024.
Originally from Noida, Anunay was in a relationship with Shivani Parihar at the time of his death. He passed away on November 4, 2025, and after weeks of speculation, authorities have now revealed the official cause of his death.
