Prime Video’s rural drama Panchayat has won hearts by creating a deep connection with the audience over its three seasons. Starring actors like Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, and Durgesh Kumar, the show focuses on the small town of Phulera and its village politics. While Panchayat essentially captures the essence of rural India with heartfelt stories and engaging characters, its songs and theme music also impressed everyone.
The Mumbai-based singer has now come up with a new version that gives a lyrical twist to the iconic Panchayat theme. Palash Shrivastava was creative and took inspiration from Phulera’s settings and key characters to add lyrics in sync with the music. While playing the song, Shrivastava starts by talking about Phulera and goes on to mention the main characters and their unique qualities. The verses are both tender and humorous, bringing the characters to life.

Secretary ji taught the whole nation. There is Banrakash and there is also Vinod who is also a joke. There is east and west and the sun teaches. Rinkiya wore clothes in a tank. Lauki hai nautanki hai, gazab bezzati bhi,’ read the lyrics.
