On the 22nd anniversary of the 2001 parliament attack, the Lok Sabha once again saw an attack owing to a security lapse. Two intruders jumped into the house from the visitor’s gallery and raised slogans.

As per eyewitnesses, they took out small canisters from their shoes that emitted yellow smoke. Chaos broke out before anyone could understand anything and the house was adjourned till 02:00 pm.

What seemed like an extremely unbelievable activity was a group of MPs slapping and punching one of the intruders who got trapped by the leaders. It was one of those rare moments when a few leaders chose to be brave and maintain solidarity in catching the perpetrator while others panicked and ran outside.

Rashtriya Loktantrik Party president, Hanuman Beniwal was among the first fearless leaders who caught the intruder and netizens have completely fallen in love with his bravery. “Darne wale log nahi hain hum“, he, later on, said in his statement over the beating.

Netizens have reacted after this video surfaced on the internet. Many have questioned the absence of Rahul Gandhi from the scene who is considered young and energetic. People have also commented on BJP leaders but Hanuman Beniwal has been declared ‘Man of the Parliament’ by Twitterati.

People have also applauded the way leaders collected in solidarity irrespective of the parties they belong to. The intruders might have guessed their detention or arrest but the punches upon punches that were showered is certainly the last thing that any of them would have ever imagined.
