New Delhi: Some (now ex-)Twitter employees are apparently being asked to return to the company by Elon Musk since he may have fired them inadvertently. According to Bloomberg, the microblogging platform is bringing back a few of its fired workers to “create the additional features Musk envisions.”

Musk said last week that he had to terminate employees because the business was losing $4 million every day. Thousands of individuals lost their employment as a result of this. In fact, Twitter even told staff members who were en route to work to return home.

Twitter is reportedly “reaching out to scores of employees who lost their jobs and are begging them to return,” according to recent reports. There are rumours that some of the workers were inadvertently let go. However, the corporation hasn’t yet disclosed any information about the officials involved.

For those who are unaware, the microblogging service Twitter fired thousands of employees last week. Teams from the marketing, sales, and communication departments were all laid off in India. Soon after, staff members used social media sites to discuss their experiences working for the business.

Elon Musk said in response to the layoff that the company was losing $4 million per day and that there was nothing more they could do but release workers from their obligations. He added that all employees received 3 months of severance pay, which is 50% more than what is needed by law.
