New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi returned to Delhi from Gujarat after getting relief from the Surat court in the Modi surname defamation case. The Surat Sessions Court extended his bail till April 13. The next hearing will take place on May 3.
After returning to Delhi, In a tweet, Rahul targeted BJP once again, against Mitrakal.
“This is a fight to save democracy, against ‘Mitrakal’. In this struggle, truth is my weapon, and the truth is my support,” Rahul Gandhi tweeted.

Rahul Gandhi had been very vocal against PM Modi of saving the Adani group regarding the Hindenburg report in Parliament. He had said that the PM is scared of his questions.
Earlier in the day, Rahul Gandhi appeared in the Surat Session court to appeal against the decision. The court gave a period of 30 days to Rahul Gandhi to appeal its order. Gandhi was sentenced to two years of jail for his controversial remarks.
Following the conviction, the Lok Sabha Secretariat disqualified Rahul Gandhi from Lok Sabha and his constituency, Wayanad, was announced vacant.
Gandhi urged the court in Surat to set aside the verdict so his membership can be restored. The remarks were allegedly seen as derogatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
