New Delhi: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan praised India’s foreign policy once again in context of buying Russian crude oil. He said Islamabad too wanted to get oil from Russia at cheaper prices but could not, citing the government led by him collapsed in a no-confidence motion.
In a video message, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief said, “We wanted to get cheap Russian crude oil just like India but that could not happen as unfortunately, my government fell due to a no-confidence motion.”
Khan is the first Prime Minister of Pakistan to have visited Moscow in the past 23 years. Notably, Khan was in Russia on the day the war was waged last year. In the clip, he mentioned his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The PTI chief further regretted that Pakistan could have also imported the crude oil as India do despite the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.

It should be noted that this is not the first time when Imran Khan talked highly of India. During many of his speeches, he either praised India for having maintained its business with Russia despite Western pressure or even slightly managed to praise Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
