PUBLIC REACTIONS

One user remarked, “Is it okay for a man to be beaten based on accusations of eve-teasing?”
Another commented, “Can a woman caught in adultery or filling fake cases be punished like this? Ans No. Then how can this woman take the law into her own hands just by accusing a man?”
A user even said, “Arrest this woman! how can she assault a man?”

While most argued that the punishment was justified, others were worried about the man’s safety. Some even said that the matter should have been handed over to the police.
