Earlier, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won the toss against Gujarat Titans (GT) and decided to bowl first. CSK captain MS Dhoni said after the toss, “We will bowl first with the forecast of rain. The pitch has been covered for a long time, but it has performed well throughout the tournament. We are very happy that we will play 20 overs. We will go with the squad from the last match.”
Dhoni further said, “Yesterday we were in the dressing room. Where was talking that as a cricketer you always want to play. The biggest problem was the crowd. Hopefully we will be able to entertain them.”
At the same time, Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya said- “I would have also decided to bowl first, but my heart wanted to bat, so I do not mind losing the toss. We said it was beyond our control.
