Jadeja initially signaled for the run but later, he changed his mind, leaving Sarfaraz stranded as Mark Wood’s accurate throw caught him short of the crease, providing England with a crucial wicket. Jadeja later reached his century the very next ball, marking it as his fourth ton in Test cricket.

It was an emotional moment for Sarfaraz Khan as he was given the India cap by former captain Anil Kumble, in presence of his father and wife. The 26-year-old took to the crease after Rohit Sharma’s dismissial, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Sarfaraz’s cricketing journey. He went on to score 62 runs off just 66 balls before his unfortunate dismissal.
