The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) has announced the inaugural season of the Delhi Premier League T20 2024 (DPL), which kicks off today, August 17. The league features marquee Indian players and will include ten teams: six men’s and four women’s. The player auction earlier this month saw Rishabh Pant and Ishant Sharma sign with team Purani Dilli 6. The opening match, set to take place after a grand ceremony, will see Purani Dilli 6 face off against South Delhi Superstarz at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
DPL To Kick Off with Spectacular Opening Ceremony
Delhi is all prepped up for the inaugural season of Delhi Premier League starting from August 17. All eyes will be on the grand opening which will feature Sonam Bajwa and singer Badshah. Both the stars will be add a tint of glamour to the brand new league. With the first match between Purani Dilli 6 and South Delhi Superstarz there’s a big possibility that we get to see star Indian player Rishabh Pant in action.
