Centre okays Budget
After the clarification of the Aam Aadmi Party government, on Tuesday evening, the Center had approved the presentation of Delhi’s budget in the assembly. The budget was to be presented on Tuesday itself, but the Center had asked the Delhi government to resend the budget after the Arvind Kejriwal government addressed the concerns raised by the Lieutenant Governor.

Kejriwal hits Centre
According to sources, the AAP government was cornered about the overspending on advertisements and relatively less funds allocated for infrastructure, other development initiatives. On the other hand, denying the allegations, Delhi Finance Minister Kailash Gehlot had said that in the budget of Rs 78,800 crore, Rs 22,000 crore was earmarked for infrastructure and Rs 550 crore for advertisements.
In the Assembly on Tuesday, Arvind Kejriwal had termed the Centre’s objections as unconstitutional and baseless. Delhi CM claimed that the budget has been approved without any changes. Kejriwal also questioned the practice of sending the budget to the central government for its approval.

Delhi Budget 2023: Focus on education along with health
According to sources, the Delhi government’s budget will see an emphasis on infrastructure as well as education. The focus will be on repairing the roads of the national capital. Along with this, an announcement can also be made to operate the Mohalla bus. Along with education in the budget, the Kejriwal government’s focus can be on health as well. Along with improving the schools of MCD, the focus may also be on increasing the facilities in the hospitals.
