Covid-19 Update: India on Thursday reported 10,158 new cases in last 24 hours with the active caseload reaching 45 Lakh. It is the highest in nearly eight months, according to union health ministry data. According to data available on website of health ministry, the number of total active cases have increased to 44998 on Thursday.

The daily positivity rate was registered at 4.42 per cent whereas the weekly positivity rate was recorded at 4.02 per cent. The active case load of total infection was recorded at .10 per cent on Thursday.

10,158 new cases in 24 hours

For the last few days, the country is once again witnessing a spurt in the Covid cases. As compared to yesterday, there has been a surge in the daily cases of Covid in the country on Thursday. Today 10,158 new cases have been reported in the country.

Earlier on Wednesday, 7830 new cases were reported in the country while 21 people died. A big jump of 2,328 new cases has been registered in the last 24 hours.

1 April 2023: On Saturday, 2994 new cases of corona were reported in the country while there was news of death of 9 people.

Covid status

Total 10,158 new infections – taking the total tally to 4,98,00,000. On Tuesday, a total of 5,676 cases were reported. According to the health ministry data, the active infections stand at 40,215. A total of 4,42,04,771 people have recuperated so far with the recovery rate rising to 98.72%. Meanwhile, with 16 new fatalities, the death toll due the disease has increased to 5,31,016. The fatality rate stands at 1.19%, the haelth ministry data revealed.

The country had recorded a single-day jump of 7,946 COVID-19 cases on September 1 last year. India has registered a single-day rise of 7,830 new coronavirus infections, the highest in 223 days, and the count of active cases in the country has increased to 40,215, according to Health Ministry data.
