Covid-19 Update: India on Saturday recorded fresh 12,193 Covid-19 cases, taking the number of active infections to 67,556 in the last 24 hours, according to Union health Ministry. Total 5,602 doses administered in last 24 hours, the data updated at 8 am on Saturday stated.

The daily positivity rate was recorded at 6.17 while the weekly positivity rate was pegged at 5.29. The total tally of Covid cases is at 4.48 crore (4,48,08,022).

The active cases now comprise 0.15 per cent of the total infections while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.66, according to the ministry website. Fatality rate was recorded at 1.18.

 12,193 new cases in 24 hours

For the last few days, the country is once again witnessing a spurt in the Covid cases. As compared to yesterday, a rise has been recorded in the daily cases in the country on Saturday. Today 12,193 new cases have been reported in the country. Earlier on Friday, 11,692 new cases were reported in the country while 40 people died. A rise of 502 Covid cases has been registered in the new daily case in the last 24 hours.

10 April 2023: On Monday, 5880 new cases of corona came in the country, while 14 people died.

9 April 2023: 5357 new cases of corona came in the country on Sunday, while 11 people died.

8 April 2023: 6155 new cases of corona came in the country on Saturday, while 11 people died.

7 April 2023: On Friday, 6050 new cases of corona have been reported in the country while 14 people have died.
