Brij Bhushan Case: The chargesheet filed by Delhi Police against outgoing Wrestling Federation of India(WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh stated that he was liable to be prosecuted and punished for offences of sexual harassment, molestation and stalking.
According to Delhi Police Chargesheet a total of 21 witnesses had registered their statements against Brij Bhushan. Six of them had given their statement under CRPC 164. One of the complainants mentioned that 6 times, she felt molestation by the WFI chief.
Last week, After taking cognisance of the 1500-page chargesheet filed by Delhi Police, the court summoned the BJP leader and WFI Assistant Secretary Vinod Tomar and listed the matter for July 18.
Delhi Police, after recording statements of female wrestlers last month, filed two chargesheet against the WFI chief in separate courts. In Rouse Avenue court Delhi Police filed a chargesheet related to complaints registered by 6 Adult wrestlers while Police filed another chargesheet on complaints registered by minor wrestlers in Patiala House Court.
Delhi Police said that after completion of the investigation in the POCSO case, we have submitted a police report under Section 173 CrPC requesting to quash the case based on the statements of the complainant which includes. father of the minor victim and the victim herself.

7 Female Wrestlers, including a minor, alleged outgoing WFI chief and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexual harassment against them on multiple occasions. The Delhi Police registered two separate cases against him after Supreme Court intervention.
