Lucknow: Samajwadi Party leader and former Uttar Pradesh minister Azam Khan has been convicted in a hate speech case by a court in Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur.
According to news agency ANI, Azam Khan and 2 other accused have been sentenced to 3 years in prison along with a fine of Rs 2000 in the hate speech case of 2019.

In 2019, a case of hate speech was filed against Khan over his comments against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and IAS officer Aunjaneya Kumar Singh, the then district magistrate.
