Unveiling the flag of his new ‘Democratic Azad Party’, Azad said that “Mustard colour indicates creativity & unity in diversity, white indicates peace & blue indicates freedom, open space, imagination & limits from the depths of the ocean to the heights of the sky.”

The former CM had announced the launch of his political party in his first public meeting in Jammu after leaving the Congress in August. He had said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir will decide the name and flag for the party.
