New Delhi: A Seraikela court on Wednesday sentenced 10 years imprisonment to all ten accused of the 2019 Tabrez lynching case under IPC section 304.

In 2019, 24-year-old Tabrez Ansari was lynched to death on suspicion of theft in Jharkahnd’s Seraikela Kharsawan in June 2019. The Mob tied him to a tree and beat him brutally. He was allegedly forced to chant “Jai Shree Ram”. Tabrez succumbed to injuries after 4 days of being attacked.
A video of the incident had gone viral led to massive outrage across the country.
