The BJP has seized on this opportunity to target the Congress government’s free electricity scheme, “Gruha Jyoti,” which provides up to 200 units of free electricity to households. They’ve labeled the situation as “Darkness Bhagya” (destiny of darkness), a play on the scheme’s name, and allege that the state’s empty treasury has resulted in a lack of even necessities like electricity in hospitals.
