Opposition leader to visit Manipur: Indian National Congress (INC) on Friday informed that a delegation of 20 MPs of the INDIA alliance would visit the violence-hit state Manipur on July 29; on Saturday.
Addressing media persons at party headquarters in Delhi, Congress leader and Member of Parliament (MP) Syed Naseer Hussain informed, the delegation would go with the message that we are standing with them and will do everything in our capacity to restore peace.
A delegation of 10 MPs would also meet the governor the day after tomorrow.
“Tomorrow a delegation of the INDIA alliance will go to the violence-hit relief camps in hilly area and valley area (in Manipur)…We are going with a message that we are standing with them & we will do everything in our capacity to restore peace in the area. The day after tomorrow at 10 am MPs from the INDIA alliance will also meet the Governor..,” informed Naseer Hussain.
The Congress leader said that the members of the delegation will visit relief camps in hilly areas and in valley areas as well. The members would divide into teams so that they can cover more affected areas.
The delegation consists, of Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, JDU MP Lalan Singh, Sushmita Dev from TMC, and others.
