The Internet has given a boost to content creators. It has provided them with different platforms where they put their content.
YouTube is one such platform where the creator put their content. In the last ten years, content creators have seen a boom due to such platforms and the kind of freedom they are getting there.
YouTube has now taken a major step and is tightening their regulations in India. This move from the platform came to tackle misleading video titles. Not only the misleading video titles but they are doing this to tackle the misleading thumbnails chosen by the creators to get views on their video.
To implement their process, the platform will initially remove the violating content. This process will be implemented without putting strikes on the channels of creators. By doing this the creator will get time to adjust to the new regulations brought by the YouTube.
A quoted by the Times of India, YouTube mentioned in a Google India blog post saying, “This can leave viewers feeling tricked, frustrated, or even misled—particularly in moments when they come to YouTube in search of important or timely information.”
The platform will ban the creator’s content that is misleading using their thumbnail and the title of the video. This action will be taken due to their misleading title and the thumbnail.
