In a recent update, in a bid to quash the anticipation that users waiting for GTA6 have been reeling under, a user released a playable MOD that was being downloaded and used by fans to witness the possible replication of GTA 6 map. A user by the name Dark Space had created a free to download playable GTA5 map based on the leaks that had been surfacing online about leaked coordinate data.
The user further uploaded a video of his gameplay on this mod on his YouTube channel. His mod soon became the subject matter of headlines as fans started downloading his MAP mod to play a replica of GTA6 on the GTA5 platform.
Legal Takedown
The GTA team were quick to respond, and gave the youtuber a strike from Take Two, it was a copyright removal request. In the response the Youtuber removed all downloadable content and multiple copyright strikes had been implemented to take down the mod. The Youtuber commented that this happened because the map mod he created was probably too accurate and hence Take Two-took action against it.
The Youtuber further revealed that Take-Two went after his MOD because it was based on an online GTA 6 community mapping project. The mod was based on a GTA 6 community mapping project that uses leaked coordinate points to perfectly Map out the upcoming virtual space. And hence as a result the leak might have ruined the surprise that GTA 6 has been guarding resolutely ever since the inception of the new Project.
New Trailer Today
This whole scenario took place in January and ever since then the overall leaks and revelations have not been able to delineate what the new game might entail.
As per a recent alleged insider info, the trailer 2 of the new GTA 6 game might launch today, and beyond that, there have also been suspicion about the possible delay in the launch of the game, and how the launch might not even happen in 2025. Rockstar Games has not revealed any details about the launch as of yet.
