WhatsApp web down: Millions of users in several countries, including India, faced disruptions in loading chats and sending messages on Tuesday (November 4, 2025). The messaging platform experienced an outage in the evening after the server crashed.
According to Downdetector, 81% users reported problems directly related to the website. Meanwhile, connecting to the server and opening the WhatsApp website became impossible for many. Meta is yet to issue an official statement regarding the outage. Users may switch to Telegram, Signal, or iMessage for sending or receiving messages till WhatsApp web starts working.
Alternatively, try restarting or updating the app. To temporarily solve the problem, users can change their network or check their Wi-Fi connection. Social media users worldwide took to X to share their frustration and humour as services were disrupted. Is WhatsApp web down, or is this just me? Another wrote, “WhatsApp web down. Time to touch some grass,” sparking a meme fest. Meanwhile, a third user said, “Can’t see any of my chats or channel updates.’ A fourth user hilariously commented, “WhatsApp Web is down, so that means I should dm my ex then.”
Earlier in September, many users expressed their concern about a new and very inconvenient problem related to WhatsApp Web. They said that they are unable to scroll through chats. Many took to X to report the problem. A user wrote, “Is there something wrong with WhatsApp web? I can’t scroll up or down.” Another wrote, “Today, is anyone experiencing issues with scrolling on WhatsApp? Because 3 to 4 users in the office are finding the WhatsApp web acting a bit strange today, not like usual… If you’re experiencing it too, please let me know.”
