The feature introduces users to the skill of quickly switching between fonts by tapping on one of the font options showcased above the keyboard. While it was earlier possible to change the text font, WhatsApp now reportedly enables users to quickly select the wanted font.
Text alignment can now also be set to left, center or right, giving users more control over text formatting inside images, videos and GIFs. Users will reportedly be able to change the text background color with this new feature, making it easier to separate important text from the rest.
WABetainfo reports that WhatsApp will commence rolling out the text editing feature to more users very soon. A similar feature has been tested on iOS devices as well, so it’s safe to say that the iOS version of the Edit Text feature will be available to beta testers soon.
