WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, has announced a new feature on Android that allows users to add descriptions to forwarded photographs, videos, GIFs, and documents. The feature is currently available to some beta testers. According to WAbitinfo, this capability can be useful if the image’s existing caption is inaccurate or if you want to add a new description.
The new description will be sent separately, replacing the old caption with your own. This ensures that recipients understand it is unrelated to the original communication.
Users can now add more context to the forwarded media they send by providing a brief description of why they shared the media as well as sharing their thoughts, ideas, or feelings about the content.
