New Delhi: You all must be using WhatsApp, and it’s likely that you have shared videos with someone on the app at some point. However, you may have noticed that when sending a 20 MB video, WhatsApp compresses it to 7 or 8 MB, resulting in a decrease in video quality. This often leads to the recipient perceiving the video as low in quality, which can be frustrating.
To address this issue, WhatsApp is currently working on enhancing the video quality in their upcoming update. Soon, you will have the ability to send videos in high-definition (HD) quality, providing a much better viewing experience for both you and the recipient.
In terms of sharing videos, WhatsApp will offer users two options. According to the website Wabetainfo, which closely monitors WhatsApp’s development, the company will introduce an option for users to select the desired quality of the video before sharing it. You will have the choice between the standard quality and the HD quality options. Depending on your preference, you can select either of these options. If you opt for HD video quality, the recipient will receive the video in the same high-quality format, and the video message will indicate that it has been shared in HD quality.
It’s important to note that this update is currently available for beta testers, and it is expected that the company will roll it out to all users in the near future.
In addition to video enhancements, WhatsApp has also made significant improvements in the process of transferring chats between devices. Now, transferring your chats from your old phone to a new phone has become much simpler. By scanning the provided QR code, you can effortlessly transfer your chats. This method offers faster chat transfer compared to using Google Drive, saving you valuable time and ensuring a smooth transition to your new device.
