New Delhi: WhatsApp service is now working after being stalled for hours. People have started getting all their old messages, and now they are also able to send messages to each other. After the outage that started around 12 noon, users had to face major problems. It is believed that this problem happened globally. According to the report of outage detection website DownDetector, major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Lucknow have been included in the affected areas.
Down Detector started seeing a large number of ‘Problem Reports’ from 12.07 pm, and by 1 pm more than 25,000 such reports were listed. In the report, 69 percent of the people reported non-sending of messages, while the rest reported server disconnection and complete crash of the app. By 2.30 pm, this report has come down to around 3,000.
This problem was coming in the app to users of all three versions of Android, iOS and Web. WhatsApp users were not getting any new messages after the service was down. Along with this, users were also facing difficulty in messaging. On opening the app, users were seeing a pop-up of ‘Connecting’.
