According to Wabetainfo, a website that monitors the development of WhatsApp, the company is redesigning the UI of the keyboard. Under the update, users will get the option of GIF, sticker and emoji in the keyboard at the top instead of the bottom. Similarly, to choose emoji of different moods, the company is going to shift the emoji panel to the bottom instead of the top. Along with this, users will get the option to transfer files etc., just like the plus icon present on the desktop, on clicking which they will be able to choose different options like contact, image, poll etc.
Overall, the company is bringing these updates to the app for better chatting experience and one click access to all functions. At present, this update is available for some beta testers, which will be available to everyone in the coming time.
Add someone by username instead of number
WhatsApp is working on another amazing feature under which users will be able to set their unique username. Just like the facility of username is available in Twitter and Instagram, the same will happen in WhatsApp. After the introduction of the username feature, you will not need to give the number again and again to add someone to the contact, you will also be able to add someone with the help of username. Also it can happen that you can hide your number from others.
