ISRO has announced that they have postponed the docking of the Spadex mission program. Previously the date decided for this was January 7, 2025, but now it is January 9, 2025.
They made an announcement regarding this on their X handle. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) wrote that, “The SpaDeX Docking scheduled on 7th is now postponed to 9th.”
They further mentioned that “The docking process requires further validation through ground simulations based on an abort scenario identified today.”

About The Mission
SpaDeX mission is a cost-effective technology demonstrator mission for the demonstration of in-space docking using two small spacecraft launched by PSLV. The primary objective of the SpaDeX mission is to develop and demonstrate the technology needed for rendezvous, docking, and undocking of two small spacecraft (SDX01, which is the Chaser, and SDX02, the Target, nominally) in a Low-Earth circular orbit.
