While Apple has been busy hoarding the limelight with their all-new thin form factor smartphone, analysts and tech enthusiasts such as Mark Gurman have been apprehensive about the battery life the new "thin-as-air" iPhone will be able to offer. With this new slim design, it’s apparent that the phone won’t have the same battery size as some of its Android counterparts. Since this concern has been bothering fans quite a bit, Tim Cook addressed the battery life in a recent interview held during his visit to the Corning factory.

In a recent interview, Apple CEO Tim Cook spoke with CNBC’s Jim Cramer about the Cupertino brand’s latest product announcements, as well as Apple’s ongoing investment in the glassmaker’s business.

The two videos that emerged from CNBC Originals included one where Cook promoted the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone Air, as well as the AirPods’ new live translation feature, and another where he was accompanied by Corning CEO Wendell Weeks.

While talking about the new iPhone Air, he said the phone offers the same performance as the Pro in a smaller chassis. When asked about the battery life, he responded:
“The battery life is great. You’re going to love the battery life. (…) We engineered it from the inside out. It’s eSIM-only. And so we were able to take the battery and extend the battery to areas that previously had the physical SIM. And so, it’s incredible innovation.”
Apples Investment Initiatives in Corning
In a second interview, both Cook and Weeks discussed Apple’s investment in Corning, which will lead to the transformation of the Harrodsburg factory into a dedicated glass production facility for the iPhone and Apple Watch.
The investment is part of Apple’s American Manufacturing Program, which will dedicate $600 billion over the next four years to domestic manufacturing initiatives and infrastructure.
