Samsung is all set to reveal its all-new foldable device at the upcoming event in a few days. The phone will first be unveiled for the Chinese market, and the device is set to launch on October 11. The brand has also revealed its first-ever teaser.
While we haven’t been able to get a first look at the device, it’s not clear whether the phone will be available in red or black colours, which have been staples for the previous-gen W series devices over the years. The image also implies that the W26 will bring a gold-coloured frame.
While the brand has seen considerable success with foldables, it has not been able to replicate the same level of success as brands like Huawei, Vivo, Honor, and Xiaomi. previously, there were reports by Korea Times that Samsung might unveil its all-new trifold APEC summit.
The report suggests, Samsung will be unveiling its new tri-folding phone at the upcoming Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit. According to the sources, the Korean tech giant plans to showcase the new model at an art exhibition on the sidelines of the multilateral summit, scheduled to take place in the southeastern city of Gyeongju on October 21 and November 1.
The tri-fold phone will be an evolution of the existing Galaxy foldable phones, which feature a bi-fold design.
Samsung’s tri-fold phone will be the second to feature such a design after the Huawei Mate X. While others like Techno have shown off tri-fold devices, those are not available to buy.
The APEC Event
The APEC 2025 will run from October 31st to November 1 in South Korea this year, so we still have a few weeks for this to actually make an appearance at the show.
A Limited Run
As per Android Headlines, the initial production run for the tri-fold is set to be very limited. We are looking at around 50,000 models being manufactured. By comparison, the original Galaxy Fold had an initial production run of around 30,000 to 100,000 units.
